Bring your container images closer to your workflow. Start by deploying TreeScale inside your network or VPC, point it at your preferred storage (object stores in your cloud account or on‑prem systems), and load your organization’s TLS certificate so every connection is encrypted end‑to‑end. Create teams and projects, map them to namespaces, and issue scoped tokens for automation. Developers then log in with the Docker CLI, tag images to the correct namespace, and push or pull using the same commands they already know—no new client required because the registry speaks the standard API.

For day‑to‑day development, build locally or in a dev container, tag once, and push. TreeScale streams large layers using parallel transfers and resumes safely if the network blips, so you spend less time waiting on uploads. Multi‑architecture images (amd64, arm64) are handled as a single reference, making it simple to build on one platform and run on another. Incremental pushes only send changed layers, and shared layers are deduplicated across projects, cutting storage costs and accelerating pulls on teammates’ machines and builder nodes.

In CI/CD, wire the registry into your pipeline with a login step, a build step, and a push. Automated container builds land in a staging namespace first; promoting to production is as simple as retagging or moving the reference your deployment uses. Use webhooks or your orchestrator to watch for tag updates and roll out changes immediately. Because the API is standards‑based, you can script the entire flow: list tags for cleanup, delete old references, or trigger downstream jobs when a new version appears. Parallel pulls help clusters scale faster when many nodes fetch the same image at once.

Operations keep control without slowing teams down. Choose where layers live on a per‑project basis so sensitive artifacts remain in your own cloud accounts, and rotate custom certificates to match corporate PKI. Set retention windows and run garbage collection during maintenance to reclaim space without interrupting active transfers. Distribute layers across regions or providers to shorten download paths for remote teams, and use team ownership and namespace rules to make push/pull permissions explicit. If you ever change cloud providers, swap the storage backend and keep developer commands exactly the same.
